New wood-fired pizzeria and Italian deli opening this month in former home of Natalie’s Pizza
Natalie’s Pizza closed the doors of its Worthington space nearly three and a half years ago, and now a new pizzeria is finally ready to open in its place.
According to a social media post from the concept, Fired Up Pizza will hold its grand opening on March 27.
The eatery is owned and operated by Michael Rice, a former Cameron Mitchell Restaurants executive chef. He told 614Now that the brand–which began as a catering service and currently offers frozen pizzas in grocery stores around Central Ohio–will also include a deli counter filled with Italian favorites.

“In addition to the pizza, we also want to offer more of a deli and market kind of feel,” Rice said in an interview fro late 2025. ”We’ll have deli cases with prepared Italian foods, like lasagna, manicotti, meatballs sausages, fresh pastas, sauces and Italian meats and cheeses.”
Fired Up Pizza is located at 5601 N. High St.
