Online order mixup leaves Ohio donut shop with thousands of extra donuts
An online ordering mistake that saw a customer accidentally add several extra zeros resulted in—quite literally—thousands of extra donuts at an Ohio chain store, according to a WHIO report.
Last Friday at the Dunkin’ on Woodman Drive. in Dayton, a customer intended to place an online order for 60 chocolate donuts with sprinkles, but accidentally ordered 6.000 instead, the Dunkin’ manager told WHIO.
After staff realized the mistake, they took to social media to inform the area they were giving away free donuts.

“I work at the Dunkin’ on Woodman and there was a donut mistake made. So we ended up with thousands of chocolate frosted with sprinkles,” a post made to the Riverside, Ohio Concerned Citizens Facebook group reads. “So, if anyone wants any, they are free. We just don’t want to throw them away. You can have as many as you want.”
According to WHIO, the Dunkin’ had to bring in extra staff that day to handle all of the customers who stopped by for free donuts.
