The post said, “We’re excited to announce that our GRAND OPENING is Monday, September 14th! We cannot wait to open our doors and welcome you all in. Come raise a glass with us! Sláinte.” Located at 12 W. William St., Hallihan’s has taken over the former home of longtime local eatery 12 West, which closed in 2020, and Lazy Dawg, which closed last year. The concept comes from John Cordas, co-owner of Shorty’s Pizza, and Mike Barker.
As previously reported by 614Now, Hallihan’s uses the family crest of co-owner Mike Barker in its logo, and features an “elevated Irish menu” with offerings like shepherd’s pie, boxty (Irish potato pancakes) and its flagship dish of fish and chips. The eatery is partnering with an Ohio baker to bring “incredible” giant soft pretzels to its menu. Additionally, the second floor of Hallihan’s will function as a “sports lounge,” with a pair of 75-inch panel TVs. Sounds like the perfect spot to enjoy football season with a Guiness in hand. They’re open 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. You can follow them here for updates and announcements.
