Owners of Old Towne Tavern open new concept Downtown
The team that brought Columbus The Walrus, Osteria Pizzeria, and Olde Town Tavern has launched a new concept Downtown.
Taking the place of the former Pecan Penny’s—which closed last October—the new concept features a Tex-Mex twist. Ochoa Mexican Grill, located at 113 E Main St., is now open in Downtown Columbus.

The grill features classic Mexican dishes with a fresh and vibrant take, right in time for soaking up the last bits of patio season. The space features an open atmosphere, bringing the vibes of outdoor dining inside—perfect for sipping margaritas on a sunny fall afternoon. With two large patios, including multiple fire pits, Ochoa might be your new go-to patio for early fall evenings.
They’re open Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with extended hours to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Their website is currently under construction, but you can take a peak here.
