Owners of The Clocktower restaurant bringing new Italian eatery to historic bank building
A group of lauded local chefs are putting it in the bank. Literally.
The owners of The Clocktower Kitchen + Bar, which won Best New Restaurant in the 2026 ColumBEST poll, are partnering with developer Westwood Collective to bring a new Italian eatery to Old Hilliard.
Lira Italian Kitchen will be located at 4056 Main St. in Hilliard. The concept behind the new restaurant was shared by Westwood Collective earlier this year, but it did not have a name, nor an operator.
Located inside of a former bank, Lira will use the old bank vault as a wine cellar. The new concept plans to “blend old-world character with a modern Italian, chef-driven menu,” featuring offerings centered around hand-rolled pasta and wood-fired dishes.
“Our goal is Lira to feel like the kind of restaurant that becomes part of the neighborhood,” said Benjamyn Greig, owner of The Clocktower, said in a press release. “A place you can come for a great bowl of pasta on a Tuesday night, meet friends for cocktails at the bar, celebrate something special or settle in for a dinner with family. We want it to feel elevated and memorable without ever losing that sense of warmth and familiarity.”
