Concept serving ’ceremonial’ matcha coming to East Side
Enjoying an ice-cold matcha latte on a sunny spring day is one of the best ways to spend a morning in Columbus. Luckily, ZC Tea has opened a pop-up matcha cart in Olde Towne East as of last week.

The pop-up is located at 1313 E. Broad St., their offerings include pistachio, strawberry, and brown sugar matcha lattes—along with loose leaf teas and espresso options. ZC Tea was previously located at 982 N. High St. The brick-and-mortar location closed in December of 2025. They also operate a small tea house inside of Winchester Farm Exchange, a local grocery store in Canal Winchester. The mobile pop-up has moved around Columbus, making appearances in Clintonville and the Short North.
According to ZC Tea, the switch from brick-and-mortar to mobile pop-up was a major reset for the brand. They said, “A three-wheeled mini truck. A smaller footprint. A tighter menu. A smoother flow. Less space created more focus. Fewer fixed costs led to better choices. The model finally matched the values. That change opened space for deeper investment. Teas sourced directly from farms around the world. Ceremonial matcha from Isshiki. Wages are set above local barista averages. We invest time and money back into the neighborhoods we serve. Every decision moved closer to the cup and the people holding it.”
Catch the ZC Tea pop-up in Olde Towne East from 8:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, and see their Instagram for updates.
