Popular ‘boutique’ Italian steakhouse opens first Columbus location this month
An upscale steakhouse known for handmade pasta and in-house butchered steaks is making its way up 71 North.
Losanti, a Cincinnati-based steakhouse that first opened in 2019, announced they’re opening at The Gravity Development at 440 W. Broad St. in the space that formerly occupied Taft’s Brewpourium on February 28.
This marks Losanti’s first expansion out of Cincinnati. The elevated restaurant has made an impression in the Queen City for “redefining the steakhouse experience without the white tablecloth.”

The Columbus location is the largest Losanti to date, spanning 6,000 sq. ft. and seating up to 250 guests with a seasonal patio. The restaurant includes three private dining spaces designed for both intimate gatherings and large celebrations, including one room accommodating up to 40 guests with a dedicated bar. The Columbus restaurant also introduces a happy hour exclusive to this location.
The menu features family recipes with a modern steakhouse twist. USDA Prime steaks, hand-cut right there in-house, plus handmade pasta, seafood, salads, and traditional steakhouse sides will be available for guests. Signature dishes include the Slow Roasted Giant Meatball, using a recipe passed down from the owners’ grandmother.

As if that doesn’t sound delicious enough, it gets even better—everything is made from scratch here, and Losanti utilizes a zero-waste philosophy, producing nearly everything in-house, including daily baked-bread, sauces, dressings, cured meats, and gelato. No ingredients are frozen, according to the restaurant, and many of the meats and produce are sourced and grown in Ohio.
As for choosing Franklinton for their first Columbus location, Losanti’s co-founders and co-owners Anthony and Haley Sitek said, “Franklinton felt like the right place to take that step. It reminds us of where we started—a neighborhood with energy, history and room to grow. We’re excited to share our approach to hospitality and from-scratch cooking with a new community. We’re honored to welcome Columbus to our table.”
Losanti will be open Wednesday through Sunday in March, offering daily happy hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant plans to expand to seven-day service beginning in April.
