Popular cocktail bar and wine shop unveils rebrand, name change

Remember the cryptic messages that The Bottle Shop was posting? The mystery has been solved—the spot has officially changed their name. They are now known as Cordial Cocktail Club & Bottle Shop.

According to a press release, the change is long overdue. Owner Gregory Stokes said, “The Bottle Shop was a great name for what it was when I acquired it, a wine shop with a small cocktail program and bar. But the place kept evolving. The cocktail program got more serious. The patio turned into a community gathering place. At some point, I looked around and realized The Bottle Shop wasn’t really describing what we’d built. Cordial does. We’re just embracing who we’ve become.”

According to Stokes, nothing else is changing. Same cocktail service, same bartenders, same great patio vibe, and same location. The release said, “Little in daily operations is changing except the name. The same bartenders, the same thoughtfully curated wine and spirits selection, and the same unpretentious approach to hospitality. Cordial remains, at its heart, a neighborhood bar and market built for the people, a space where the only rule is that wherever you settle in, no matter the size of your group, that’s your space. The bar belongs to its guests.” You can find the neighborhood bar at 237 King Ave., right where it’s been since 2015.
