A German Village eatery known for its unique, hands-on cooking style is unveiling a new ice cream pop-up.

The Kitchen–the German Village eatery known for its experiential cooking events that offers patrons a chance to whip up gourmet-level dishes themselves–is leaning into ice cream as the temperature rises.

On May 17, the eatery will hold the first ever pop-up for The Dusty Touch Ice Cream, where handmade ice cream from The Kitchen’s executive chef Dustin Boninsegna will be for sale, but also, in true The Kitchen fashion, visitors will receive a unique look behind the curtain at how the sweet treat is made.

According to The Kitchen marketing associate Brynna Maxey, the Dusty Touch has existed as a brand for several years, but next month’s gathering is its first formal event.

You’ll need tickets to attend the pop-up, which you can purchase here.

The event will include a quick history of ice cream and churning methods, a hands-on ice cream churning demo, an interactive ice cream and espresso martini pairing experience and ice cream sampling.
