Popular local diner closing temporarily for renovations

A longtime Westerville diner has closed temporarily while undergoing a major remodel.

Delaney’s Diner, at 5916 Westerville Rd., is a popular diner that has been serving up comfort breakfast and lunch dishes to its Westerville neighbors for nine years.

On June 22, the diner partially closed off its main dining room for a remodel. The process began by making space for an additional 40 seats, along with a complete kitchen makeover. During this time, guests were still able to order through carryout and the diner’s limited seating

The complete tear-out and rebuilding of the kitchen space required the diner to be temporarily closed on July 19 until further notice. 

According to Delaney’s Diner owner Jeff Miller, he anticipates a September reopening if all goes according to plan.

While Westerville is currently out of commission, Delaney’s Diner can still be enjoyed from its Reynoldsburg, Grandview, or Groveport locations.
