Popular Nashville hot chicken concept with ‘Shark Tank’ backing officially coming to Ohio

Nashbird Chicken is headed to Ohio.

The Nashville hot chicken concept—which is backed by Shark Tank “Shark” Kevin Harrington— announced last week that it plans to open multiple Buckeye State locations.

“I’d like to give. a big shoutout to Chris Shodd, who’s actually signed on as our first franchise owner in Cleveland, Ohio,” Harrington said in an Instagram reel posted Nashbird last week. “Now, this is going to be the first of many Nashbirds expanding throughout Ohio (my home state by the way) and the U.S.”

Nashbird did not share where in Ohio the other restaurants will open, nor how many additional Ohio eateries the brand plans to add.

The chain, which serves Nashville hot chicken tacos, nuggets, sandwiches and more, is owned by Oklahoma chef Marc Dunham and Jenny Dunham. The brand opened its original storefront in Oklahoma City in 2017, which is its only location to date.
