A popular Ohio-based Tex-Mex restaurant may be preparing to expand in Pickerington – again.

Local Cantina shared a cryptic social media post, hinting about “something new” in the city.

“Maybe we’ve been keeping a little secret here in Pickerington,” the post reads.

As of May 18, the restaurant had stopped short of confirming a new location. But Local did playfully add: “Let’s just say your ‘where should we eat?’ group chat is about to get a lot more interesting,” which suggests it’s not just a bar concept.

The tease came alongside a post from Elevate Pickerington, showing workers removing the facade from the building with the caption: “New restaurant loading …”

While neither post confirms the exact address or opening timeline, the hints sure look like tortilla chips and margaritas. Local Cantina already has one location in Pickerington – on East Columbus Street – along with nine others in Ohio listed on its website. Local Cantina was founded in Columbus in 2012, serving tacos, burritos and other Tex-Mex fare.
