See where Lt. Gov. and OSU legend Jim Tressel stops for pizza

Ohio Stadium Ring of Honor inductee, Lt. Jim Tressel, made a pit stop at a Logan pizza restaurant during his recent fitness campaign.

On September 14, during a Cleveland Guardians game, some staff members of Pizza Crossing were invited by their vendor Sysco and just so happened to be sitting next to Coach Tressel himself. The restaurant co-owner, Eric Cullison took the opportunity to introduce himself and Pizza Crossing, and he learned a staffer of Tressel’s was already a fan of the Logan pizza shop.

Conveniently for Cullison, Tressel and his team were headed to the Logan area to promote The Team Tressel Fitness Challenge at local schools and businesses, and promised he would stop by Pizza Crossing for a slice.

On Thursday September 17, Pizza Crossing, located at 58 N. Mulberry St., received a pickup order for “Tressel” and the restaurant staff prepared for the legendary coach’s appearance.

“A member of his security came ahead of him and we made sure a few pics and handshakes were ok. We promise coach left with piping hot PC pizzas!” Pizza Crossing posted on Facebook.

The lieutenant governor ordered three classic Pizza Crossing pies, including one with sausage, Tressel’s favorite pizza topping.
