Short North bagel spot adding second location

The Lox Bagel Shop is headed to Polaris this fall. According to city permits, the new space will be located at 2140 Ikea Way, as part of the Galaxy at Polaris development.

This will mark the second location for The Lox, the first opened in the Short North at 772 N. High St. in 2018. Owner Kevin Crowley told 614Now that “the biggest change is the location! Not in a city center but now in a suburban high traffic area where we hope to cater to the Monday-Friday business folks and tie ourselves into the surrounding communities.”

The Polaris location will have a larger kitchen, but your menu favorites are here to stay, Crowley said “Menu will stay the same as the base, with a few tricks up our sleeve.” The upgrade will allow for expansion of catering and beverage offerings, the space will be around 2,100 square feet. According to Crowley, the goal is to open in September of this year.
