Short North cafe and chocolate shop abruptly closed

Winans Coffee & Chocolate Short North has closed as of June 6th. Located at 611 N. High St., the cafe announced the closure via a sign posted to their door.

The sign said, “Winans Short North will be closing at 3 pm on June 6. We’ve loved being part of this community and are grateful for every guest who stopped in for coffee, chocolate, celebrations, and everyday moments. While this chapter is ending, we hope to see you at our other Ohio locations including Winans German Village and Winans Grandview Yard. Thank you for the memories. With gratitude, Miles and Monica Thomas and team.” 

The Short North location opened in February 2024. The Grandview location at 1125 Yard St., and the German Village location at 897 S. 3rd St. both remain open under their usual hours of operation.
