The Big Cheese: Gourmet grilled cheese concept now open

Grilled cheese is great when it’s made with off-brand bread and American cheese, which means the ceiling for making it with culinary knowledge and quality ingredients is through the roof.

And one new local food truck is doing just that.

Big Cheese Kitchen, billed as a “gourmet grilled cheese” food truck, opened its doors for business earlier this year.

In addition to a Classic Grilled Cheese (which is still elevated, blending multiple cheeses and served on sourdough bread), The Big Cheese offers a Steak Grilled Cheese, a Pulled Pork Melt, a Chicken Parm Melt, and a Cuban Grilled Cheese, in addition to sides like Loaded Pork Tots and Loaded Fries. The new fold truck even serves New York Cheesecake for dessert.
