These are the 5 best burger joints in Columbus according to national travel guide

If there’s something we can all agree on in this divisive world, it’s that Columbus serves up some delicious burgers. We have them all here—enormous stacks that require a fork & knife, classic smashburgers, and even veggie burgers that will still leave carnivores drooling.

According to All American Atlas, a national travel guide, these are the five best spots for burgers in town:

5. Bareburger | Short North & Easton
This is one of those spots where you don’t feel guilty after chowing down on huge burgers and fries, for Bareburger uses organic and health-forward ingredients suitable for people of most diets (gluten-free, low-carb, vegan, keto, etc.)

4. Arch City Tavern | Short North
A Short North mainstay that takes you back to the gastropub days of the mid 2010s, in the best way possible. All American Atlas says that their burgers stand out for the high quality beef and their toppings, ranging from caramelized onions, to Muenster, house-made sauces, and more.

3. Preston’s: A Burger Joint | Clintonville & Little Grand Market
If you love a good smashburger done right, this is the spot for you. Their patties are thin and crisp, the cheese is fully melted, and their classic toppings, like lettuce, pickles, and onion, are always fresh.

2. The Eagle | Short North
Believe it or not, a restaurant known for their fried chicken also serves the second best burgers in town, according to All American Atlas. Their Pimento Bacon Burger features 7oz brisket & chuck, pimento cheese, bacon, caramelized onion jam, and lettuce & pickle.

1. The Thurman Cafe | German Village
Their tagline is “Tastiest Burgers in Columbus,” and it appears that Columbus and this travel guide agrees. If you’re not wanting to fork & knife a giant Thurmanator, The Thurman Cafe still churns out some delicious hand-held burgers at a more reasonable size, too.
