Upscale Mexican restaurant opening in shuttered brewery space

A former Italian Village brewery space is getting a new vida. 

K Vida, that is, the name of the new modern Mexican restaurant that announced they’d be opening this summer at 119 E. 5th Ave., in the large space off 4th St. that used to house Zaftig Brewery, until they closed in 2023.

The Mexican Restaurant said they’d be bringing “bold flavors, crafted cocktails, and an unforgettable vibe you’ve been waiting for.”

The menu has yet to be released, but their teaser shows a more upscale setting, with flame-charred meats and gorgeous plating. Their Facebook announcement says they’re bringing a more elevated, refined experience, without losing the authenticity of Mexican cuisine.
