Vintage cocktail bar coming to Columbus late spring

Asia Atuah

A new cocktail bar will seek to place warm, vintage vibes in the palm of your hand this spring.

Let Me Roll It—yes, named after the ‘70s track by Paul McCartney and Wings—is a soon-to-be cocktail bar “focused on excellence in the classics, vintage aesthetics, and is designed to help people take a break from our phones and the busyness of city life to encourage conversation and community,” Conor Stratton, one of the bar’s owners, said.

The menu will primarily focus on classic cocktails like Old Fashioneds, Martinis, and Negronis, Stratton said, with seasonal beverages and in-house concoctions thrown into the mix. The bar will also offer bottled and canned beers and curated wine selections.

Stratton, who owns popular bar and music venue Ace of Cups, said he longed for a space that focused more on conversation and allowed for a deeper dive into cocktails, compared to the fast-pace demands of Ace. The bar is also greatly influenced by his love of music and art (see bar name).

“The vibe of the 70s is very much a feeling we are trying [to] encapsulate in the space at the bar,” he said.

Stratton said the team is targeting a late May or early June open. Let Me Roll It will be located at 132 E. 5th Ave., according to their Instagram.
