The post said, “Hi friends! As most know, the restaurant industry is a tough one in an already tough time, and this year has been a doozie. It’s been incredibly hard with rising costs, a lot of turnover, and the unpredictability of a world that is rapidly changing. Since 2020, we haven’t had a minute to slow down, take inventory of what’s working and what’s not, and we’ve been struggling lately to keep up and keep it together, so we need a little time to regroup. That said, we have decided to close from now through October, to change some things, build a solid team, and come back stronger.”

Dough Mama also confirmed they will be going forward as planned with their famous Thanksgiving pie orders—a must-have on any table during the holiday season. The post said, “We will also be spending the month preparing for our annual Thanksgiving-pie-pre-order-extravaganza, and to thank you for hanging in with us through these 12 holidays, use code THANKS12, for 12% off your Thanksgiving pre-order. Ordering will go live October 1st. We are so sorry for any inconvenience this might cause, but are so grateful for your continued support of our little shop. We can’t wait to come back better than ever.”

Dough Mama is located at 3335 N. High St., in Clintonville. The spot first opened in 2015, and they’ve been a neighborhood staple ever since. Dough Mama is known for their made from scratch pies, savory breakfasts, sweet treats, lunch, coffee, and matcha. You can follow them here for updates and announcements. Stay tuned for a re-opening date!
