$1 billion data center planned for Columbus suburb with 15 year, 100% tax exemption

A new one million square foot data center is planning on being constructed on 600 acres in a Central Ohio suburb.

According to Union County property records, a one billion dollar data center is on its way to Marysville on Weaver Road. The data center, registered under Anadonna LLC, agreed with Marysville City Council for a 15-year, 100% property tax exemption for the construction of the buildings on the project site.

The City of Marysville posted on their website that many questions have been raised by the community, and their goal is to provide clear, fact-based information to “ensure transparency.” Their website says that a data center will benefit Marysville in several ways, including expanding generating funding, creating local construction jobs, bringing in new citizens to the community, and illustrating that Marysville is an economic development partner.

The data center is set to be completed by 2034, and projected to bring in 50 full-time jobs.
