The Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority (FCCFA) is asking the state of Ohio for a $100 million grant in connection with the project. The FCCFA has also indicated that the office building located at 375 North Front St. is on the table for purchase. The offices currently used within the arena would be re-purposed during the renovation.

The proposed funding for the project would include both public and private revenue sources. According to the proposal, the $400 million would be a combination of grant money, direct support from the City of Columbus and Franklin County, loans/bonds, and private revenue. Stay tuned for official timeline details and updates on the project’s funding status.
