After 17 years, this Dublin storefront is closing its doors
Following a 17 year run, a Dublin consignment shop will shutter its sole location next month.
According to a social media post made by owner Michelle Renda, Trading Place, which is located at 6561 Dublin Center Dr., will be closing on June 14. The business stated it received “official notice” that it must vacate the building by this date.
“For the last several years, we have been operating under a month-to-month lease arrangement. While we understood the uncertainty that came with that, we always hoped that if a change ever came, we would have more time to prepare,” Renda said. “Unfortunately, we have received official notice that we must vacate our current location by June 14. Between now and then, we will be holding sales throughout the store and working quickly to reduce inventory.”

Trading Places, which first launched in 2009, according to Renda’s statement, moved into its Dublin location in 2017.
The Dublin consignment shop, which sells furniture and decorative home goods, noted the future of the business is uncertain after announcing the closure of its sole storefront, but it didn’t entirely rule out a reopening in the future.
“At this moment, I truly do not know what the future holds for Trading Places. Maybe this is the closing of one beautiful chapter. Maybe someday, it becomes something new again, possibly in a new location,” Renda said. “Right now, I just do not have that answer.”
