After 25 years, Central Ohio market calling it quits

A long-standing flea market that has served the Columbus area for 25 years is calling it quits. At least for now.

According to a Facebook post from the Market organizers, this will be the final season for the Delaware Flea Market.

“Well, this is our final season after 25 years of service to the Delaware community. When the Kingman drive-in and flea market closed, we were able to continue serving the flea market tradition when we opened our flea market,” the post reads.

The Market is held every Sunday, beginning at 5 a.m., with vendor spaces available on a first come, first served basis. It’s held at the Delaware County Fairgrounds, which is located at 236 Pennsylvania Ave. in Delaware.

While the original organizers of the event are stepping down, there is a chance the Delaware Flea Market lives on under new ownership.

“We hope to “pass the torch” to some local entrepreneurs and hope they can continue the flea market into the future,” its post reads.
