Two dead after explosion at Ohio business
Two people are dead after two massive explosions and a large fire tore through a commercial building in Toledo.
According to the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department, crews responded to a 911 call reporting a fire at a commercial building. The situation was first reported shortly before 5 a.m. Tuesday.
When firefighters arrived, they encountered heavy smoke and flames. Fire investigators said an explosion happened at an industrial recycling business called Brent Industries before crews reached the scene.

The severity of the fire prompted a multi-alarm response, bringing additional firefighters and equipment to the area.
“Crews worked continuously to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby businesses and structures,” Toledo Fire & Rescue said in a Facebook post.
Firefighters found two victims inside the building, reported to be workers at the business.
“The Toledo Fire & Rescue Department extends its sincere condolences to the families, friends, and loved ones of both victims,” the department said.
Earlier in the day, Toledo Police shared an alert about the fire, asking people to avoid the area and remain clear of the scene while firefighters conducted emergency operations. First responders now say the area is safe.
Investigators are still looking into what caused the blasts and fire.
