More than 36,000 customers of this Columbus-based company submitted claims worth over $57 million.

When Value City furniture abruptly closed after they filed for bankruptcy last year, thousands of customers didn’t get their furniture delivered to them and never received refunds.

Thousands of shoppers paid deposits, or in full, for furniture and decor, among other items Value City sells, that were never delivered to them before stores began to close and liquidate their inventory. The lawsuit states that customers were left with little information about how to receive refunds.
