Columbus’ Cutest K9 lands New York Fashion Week feature
Columbus’ Cutest K9 had a chance to strut the runway at New York Fashion Week.
On September 16, Columbus native and (614)’s Cutest K9 Bonnie received the call of a lifetime to walk in Anthony Rubio Designs’ Spring/Summer 2027 “Canine Couture” collection at New York Fashion Week.
Rubio specializes in women’s wear and canine couture and is the first designer to feature dogs as actual models in a show.

The opportunity came about through a national casting call, Bonnie’s owner, Erica Mauder took a shot in the dark and submitted her pup.
“We got the call a day before the show. It was amazing! We were actually 10 minutes from leaving to go to Nashville for a small vacation and they called us! We said ‘well we’re going to New York!’” Mauder said.

The 80-lb Newfoundland mix worked her way down the “dogwalk” in a sparkling red dress, accompanied by a professional male model, representing Columbus proudly. Read more about Bonnie’s story in our July issue of (614) Magazine!
