‘A city that refuses to be boring:’ Columbus highlighted by ‘Midwest Living’ in feature story

Columbus, Ohio lauded by Midwest Living magazine

Columbus landed in Midwest Living recently, the magazine released an article highlighting some not so hidden gems in Columbus. The article is titled “I Traveled to Columbus for a 13-Course Meal—And Found a City That Refuses to Be Boring”. It highlights the travel editor’s experience dining at Agni, staying at the Junto, and discovering some of the gems that we already know and love.

The article was written by Julia Sayers Gokhale, Senior Travel Editor. She said, “Columbus also doesn’t take itself too seriously. A playful energy hums through the city: Anthropomorphic deer statues lounge around downtown (one most prominently perched on a bridge, hip popped, overlooking the Scioto River). An urban garden boasts a topiary rendition of Georges Seurat’s most famous painting. A four-star boutique hotel runs a secret walk-up poutine window. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take Columbus seriously. As Ohio’s largest city, Columbus has always been a hub for business, higher learning, and innovation. Now it has quietly become a destination for culture, leisure, and food too.”

The article shouts out Columbus staples like Commune, The Book Loft, COSI, The Junto, North Market, and Agni—just to name a few. You can read the full article here
