Columbus shuts down spas accused of sex trafficking
Two Columbus-area massage parlors accused of operating as hubs for prostitution and human trafficking have been shut down following a joint legal action by the Columbus City Attorney’s Office and Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to a statement released by Zach Klein and Shayla Favor, authorities obtained a court order to close Rejuvenation Spa and Red Beans Spa after what officials described as years of surveillance and investigation by the Columbus Division of Police and the Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force.
The businesses are located at 5841 Karric Square Dr. in northwest Columbus and 1066 Norton Rd. on the city’s west side.

Court documents cited by the city allege both massage parlors had “extensive histories of prostitution and human/sex trafficking.” They said investigators received numerous complaints tied to the businesses in recent years.
Officials said surveillance operations conducted between December 2025 and May 2026 observed activity “consistent with prostitution and human/sex trafficking rings.” Investigators also said they conducted multiple trash pulls and documented online reviews advertising sexual services.
Authorities additionally alleged that business owners and staff were observed transporting workers and potential trafficking victims between locations.
