Driver crashes into West Columbus bank, ends up in bushes
Luckily, nobody was walking into a West Columbus bank when a driver hit the building feet from its doors.
A Columbus Division of Police non-emergency line dispatcher told 614NOW there were no injuries when the car hit the Chase Bank at 1600 Hilliard Rome Rd. (near the intersection of Hilliard Rome Road and Renner Road) late Wednesday morning.

The dispatcher said multiple drivers involved in the crash exchanged information, adding a more detailed report would be put together later. The call was reported around 11 a.m.
By noon, the dispatcher said police had cleared the scene. A video posted via the Citizen app showed Columbus Police and Columbus Division of Fire responding to the scene.
