The post said, “ENOUGH, COLUMBUS. Sun Studio Tan was vandalized again—third time in under two years. This time the sign is destroyed. Not damaged. Gone. It happened between 12:30 and 1:30 a.m. on September 13th. I was at the studio late for a private event, so I know the window. If you’re a business, resident, driver, or anyone with a camera near 612 N. High—please check your footage and call me. I chose to open in the Short North. I did not choose to replace my property every few months because the City of Columbus can’t get late-night violence on this block under control. Fights. Vandalism. Shootings. People have died. That is not ‘part of being downtown.’ That’s a failure. To be clear: I don’t know who destroyed my sign, and I’m not accusing anyone of it. What I’m talking about is the environment on this block after midnight.”
Anthony continued by calling for a formal review of a neighboring business. The post said, “I don’t feel safe walking my own block after 10 p.m. I’m calling for a formal review of Bernard’s—operations, liquor license, security procedures, and impact on the surrounding businesses. If a venue can’t operate without the rest of us paying for it, that needs to be on the record. To the City and CPD leadership: how many more businesses get hit, how many more people get shot, before someone decides enough is enough? Business owners, neighbors, customers, city officials, media—share this. Tag who needs to see it. Call me if you saw anything. Small businesses deserve protection, not excuses.” 614Now reached out to the number provided for comment, but the line is not in service. Sun Studio Tan is located at 612 N. High St., in the Short North. You can see the full post here.
