‘First of its kind’: Chain art store opening new ‘experiential format’ store
Crafters rejoice—Michael’s is debuting a new store format at Easton Town Center this week. The remodeled store promises expanded services, new event offerings, and an upgraded party space.

Located at 3670 Easton Market in Columbus, the updated store is the first of its kind for the Michael’s brand. According to a press release, it’s a “new experiential store format, featuring fresh vignettes designed to spark ideas to create, celebrate, and decorate; expanded services and events like new customization bars and candle making and open, flexible classrooms; and a stronger focus on local community connection with an upgraded party and event space.”
The grand opening will take place this Friday, June 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Michaels CEO David Boone will be on-site to celebrate with a ribbon-cutting followed by a day of family-friendly activities, raffles, and more. The grand opening event will include a makers market, balloon animals, face painting, and outdoor games.
