Grocery store chain closing Central Ohio location
Giant Eagle Supermarket and Pharmacy is closing a location in Columbus. The store located at 6867 E. Broad St. will close as of April 11 at 5 p.m., the pharmacy will close on April 8.

The closing is confirmed via signs posted on the doors that state final operating hours. Giant Eagle spokesperson Dan Donovan also confirmed the closure in a statement. The location has been open since 2006, and employs 95 people. Giant Eagle has confirmed that they are working to place employees at nearby locations in wake of the closure.
Customers affected by the pharmacy closing have been contacted, and can call 614-866-3079 with questions. The posted signs are re-directing customers to nearby Giant Eagle locations in Gahanna, Pickerington, and Bexley.
