Hugely-popular grocery store chain planning first ever Columbus-area location

A national grocery chain is making plans to expand to Columbus with their first Ohio location. Phoenix-based grocery Sprouts Farmers Market is planning to open in Grandview.

The market chain has filed plans with Columbus to occupy the space at 1451 W. 5th Ave. Formerly a Big Lots, the store will span 28,000 square feet. Founded in 2002, Sprouts Farmers Market is a fast-growing chain, specializing in bulk foods, gluten free products, fresh produce, and a farmers market layout. 

With more than 480 locations across the U.S., Sprouts Farmers Market is fast-growing, and looking to expand into the Midwest in the coming years with 40 additional locations in the works. An opening date has not yet been announced, stay tuned for more information.
