A Central Ohio man will spend the next several years in federal prison after making numerous threats to shoot law enforcement officers on social media.

Federal investigators said 34 year-old Mt. Vernon man Jerime Graham-Woods was sentenced to 42 months (3.5 years) in federal prison on Feb. 20.

He pleaded guilty last November to two charges: Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person and Interstate Communications with a Threat to Injure.

According to court documents, Graham-Woods made multiple threatening posts on social media, between June and September of 2023, including:

“I can’t wait to be a part of the violent revolution”

“I can’t wait to start shooting law enforcement”

“lotta bodies in my future”

“I’m very much for shooting police.”

He also made comments encouraging others to commit violence, such as “start killing politicians,” “start killing federal agents,” “let’s just show the government what all of our guns are for. Stop talking and start loading,” and “start shooting.”
