Indeed ranks Columbus among ‘Best Cities for Work’

As the job market continues to be challenging, location has become an increasingly important factor in evaluating job opportunities. Indeed’s inaugural Best Cities for Work list highlights the places where people can thrive both professionally and personally. Columbus, Ohio, ranks among the top 25 markets overall.

Using six pillars made up of 40 individual metrics, including job opportunity, compensation, job quality and security, career mobility and dynamism, work-life balance, and economic opportunity, Indeed has determined that Columbus ranks No. 24 on the Best Cities for Work list.

Central Ohio’s rapidly growing economic hub may be second to last in the ranking. Still, the city’s best attributes such as Columbus’s career mobility ranks No. 6 among the 25 and job opportunities rank No. 12. 

Indeed analyzed more than 200 metros with 200,000+ people in order to determine this list and while Boston, Massachusetts and Washington D.C. make up top spots, Columbus’s ranking proves its push to becoming a prime location for opportunity.
