Haddix said, “It’s a great day when a new bookstore opens! This is The Whispering Page in Worthington, Ohio, mere hours after opening its doors for business for the first time. It is also lovely inside, but I was too busy talking with friends (both new and old) to take good pictures. I’ll do that another time. I watched a movie recently where a character was ranting about wonderful things from the past that are disappearing or are already gone, and she included actual, physical, independent bookstores as marvels that are vanishing. The thing is, The Whispering Page is one of at least five in Central Ohio that I know of that have opened within the past year or will open soon. Bookstores are not vanishing! I highly recommend visiting The Whispering Page if you are anywhere nearby!”
The Whispering Page posted about their opening via social media. The post said, “Six months of planning, building, painting, unpacking, shelving and dreaming brought us from that first photo to this one. And now we finally get to share it with you. Come in, find a book, pull up a chair and stay awhile. We can’t wait to welcome you!” The shop is located at 661 North High Street #D, in Worthington. They’re open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., follow them here for updates and announcements.
