Local farm creates American map corn maze with all 50 states

A Central Ohio family farm is gearing up for its fall festivities, this year with a patriotic twist.

Circle S Farms, located at 9015 London Groveport Rd., began its fall season this week, including pumpkin picking, hayrides, fall-flavored treats, and its annual corn maze.

Each year, Circle S Farms creates intricate, intertwining mazes within its corn stalks. From the inside, the maze may seem like an endless jumble of dead ends, but from above, the farm has created a work of art.

Over 40 years in the business, the family-run farm has gotten a bit creative with its fall corn maze. In the last couple years, the farm has used GPS coordinates to determine tractor routes and plan out massive designs with precision. In the past, the maze has been carved out for a proposal, the Olympics, and an intricate “Script Ohio” design.

This year, continuing the celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, Circle S Farms has recreated a map of all 50 states for guests to walk their way across the country to find a way out on the other side.

Circle S Farms is now open for the fall season, Thursday through Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. until October 25, which is plenty of time to master this massive maze construction.
