Look Inside: Columbus animal clinic posts photos of wreckage after car drives through building

A Columbus veterinarian is picking up the pieces after a car crashed into its West Side space. Literally and figuratively.

Over the weekend, a dark-colored SUV was driven into the side of Village Animal Clinic, which is located at 5303 W. Broad St. Yesterday, the local veterinarian took to social media to show the damage incurred in the incident.

“For those of you wondering what the inside looks like…Hoping these next few days start to bring a little more clarity on this crazy journey,” the business wrote on its Facebook page. “Thank you again to everyone we’ve had to cancel appointments for this week. Medications can still be picked up but will be delivered curbside (similar to COVID times). Just call, email or text us and we’ll give you guys good times to avoid the crazy!”

According to a Village Animal Clinic employee, the West Side vet isn’t fully open, but staff members are on-site, and will be able to hand off medications to clients. She noted the business just received electricity again today, and may be able to reopen in some capacity by next week, but an exact timeline is uncertain. She said the business likely won’t be “front door open” for some time.
