Man charged after allegedly masturbating inside Ohio Barnes & Noble

A man has been charged after he allegedly masturbated inside of a Fairfield Township Barnes & Noble.

According to a Facebook post from the Fairfield Township Police Department, 44 year-old Leon Sims was arrested and charged with public indecency after an incident that occurred in the Barnes & Noble located at 3339 Princeton Rd. in Fairfield Township on June 12. 

Police said Sims was visiting the Barnes & Noble when he walked into the store’s cafe, sat down and began masturbating.

“The store’s video surveillance footage caught the incident. Store personnel also noticed him staring at the employees and patrons as he was doing it. There were several children in the store and in the proximate area at the time the suspect engaged in the act,” the Department’s post reads.

Sims was formally charged with one counter of public indecency on June 25. He was located and arrested on June 29. According to police, he has a history of similar offenses, and is a registered sex offender.
