Local bar on the hunt for antique parrot after it was ‘brutally removed from hanger’
The Lost Kahiki is mourning the loss of their beloved parrot decoration—Kiko is missing, presumed stolen. The latest tiki popup blessing Columbus nightlife, located in the Marmont Speakeasy under Forno, posted a plea for their beloved Kiko to be returned.

They said, “Sometime this weekend, Kiko clocked in for his shift at The Lost Kahiki and never clocked out. Because someone stole him … We’re choosing to believe there was simply some confusion about how bars work, so just to clarify: You are supposed to leave with your friends. Not the decorations … Whoever took him has now inherited a deeply unfortunate curse.”
614Now spoke with a Marmont employee who said, “We’re currently watching the cameras to try to locate Kiko after the last sighting (8:30 p.m. on Sunday). We only have one and it’s in the very back of the space, so it’s difficult to see, but we’re hopeful! We are pretty certain that a guest took him Sunday night. He was brutally removed from his hanger.” According to the employee, Kiko holds sentimental value for The Lost Kahiki. They said, “Kiko is from the Greater Columbus Antique Mall. He was actually the first piece we found when we began building the Lost Kahiki pop-up.” 614Now asked if there is a reward for Kiko’s safe return. They said, “Although we don’t want to reward dumb behavior, if found, we will reward two Mai Tai cocktails (we have a two Mai Tai limit because they’re so strong ) and Kiko’s favorite, our housemade Crab Rangoon.”
They said, “All jokes aside, please stop stealing from the pop-up. So much of The Lost Kahiki was locally sourced, thrifted, collected, or made specifically for the space. Our team put a lot of time and love into creating this experience, and many of these pieces can’t simply be replaced … PLEASE bring Kiko back to us. He is on a Crab Rangoon diet, and we miss him a lot.”
