If you were at the airport and unvaccinated during that time, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) is advising vigilance until March 11th. Symptoms can take 7-14 days to appear, and the virus is highly contagious.
ODH Director Dr. Bruce Vanderhoff released a statement concerning the outbreak. He said “These most recent cases highlight the critical importance of everyone being up to date with their vaccines, due to the risk of potential exposure anytime we are in large, indoor public venues, such as airports, measles can be very serious for children, and it is preventable. The vaccine can keep your child from getting this disease.”
