Ohio gov. candidate wants to fire running mate after he allegedly calls her racial slur
A candidate in the race for Ohio Governor hopes to drop her running mate after he allegedly called her a racial slur.
According to a statement posted to the social media account of Heather Hill, a GOP candidate for Ohio Governor, she plans to part ways with her running mate Stuart Moats after he allegedly referred to her using a racial slur and misogynistic language.
“Due to irreconcilable differences, (after Moats called Hill a ‘N***** B****’) the Heather Hill for Ohio Governor campaign has made the tough decision to replace Stuart Moats as my Lt. Governor running mate,” a statement posted to Hill’s social media pages on April 18 reads.

After Hill’s post, Moats took to his personal Facebook to dispute the claim.
In the video, which has been viewed more than 13,000 times, Moats referred to Hill’s post as a “nuclear explosion of [his] character,” and referred to her as a “deranged lunatic narcissist,” before criticizing her appearance and character.

Hill posted a followup video stating that she believes Moats “was a plant” put into her campaign by “the establishment.” She also appeared in an interview with political YouTuber The Hill to discuss the situation.
According to Ohio law, a replacement lieutenant governor can only be named if the original candidate dies or withdraws. Hill noted in a statement that she is working to make the replacement legal, and in a recent video posted by Moats, it appears he is no longer a part of Hill’s campaign.
