Ohio man found dead in CVS trash compactor

A Medina County man was found dead inside of a CVS trash compactor last week, according to a 19 News report.

The victim was 34 year-old Brunswick, Ohio resident Adam Strand.

According to the 19 News story, Strand’s wife called local police just after 10 p.m. on Feb. 5 when he did not return home. She said he was working as a contractor at the CVS located on the 1700 block of Chagrin Blvd.

Officers searched the CVS location and discovered Strand’s body in the trash compactor at the back of the building.

Shaker Heights Police Commander John Cole told 19 News that the death is being investigated and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner will determine a cause of death.

“We’re cooperating with police as they investigate the death of a contractor outside our Chagrin Blvd store,” CVS told 19 News in a statement.
