Ohio McDonald’s workers hold marriage ceremony inside the restaurant they work
Instead of meeting your love at the altar, you can meet them at the counter. The McDonald’s counter, Like where you order food.That’s at least what one Ohio couple did, as a pair of Akron-area McDonald’s workers recently held their marriage ceremony and reception inside the same restaurant they work.
According to a press release from McDonald’s, Northeast Ohio McDonald’s employees Jaime and George (their last names were not used) were married inside the dining room of the McDonald’s location where they work, surrounded by family, friends, and co-workers.

The restaurant’s dining room, which was temporarily transformed into a wedding venue, was closed from 5-7 p.m., although drive-thru orders were taken during this time. McDonald’s crew members created the food and the cake for the wedding, and the husband of the restaurant’s general manager was the wedding officiant.
“This is so much more than a wedding at a McDonald’s,” Tammy Snider, the general manager of the restaurant, said in a press release “It’s a story about two people in love and a restaurant team that wanted to make sure they felt celebrated. Our restaurants are places where friendships are made, milestones are celebrated, and communities come together. George and Jamie’s wedding is such a beautiful example of that.”
As of Monday, a social media video of the wedding ceremony has received nearly 500,000 likes and nearly 25,000 comments.
