Ohio teen dies from flu

Sav McKee

For some, the flu means staying home from school or work, covering up with blankets, and binge watching a Netflix series.

But not for 16 year old Ryleigh Spurlock.

Ryleigh went to the doctor with “ordinary flu symptoms” last month. According to her family, her condition quickly worsened. When her temperature escalated to 105 degrees, she went septic and got double pneumonia, all starting with this flu. Her family also stated that some other symptoms were coughing and choking on her blood, according to People Magazine.
