Over 1,000 people gathered in Dublin to form one of the largest human shamrocks

​​During Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration on March 14, 1,050 people dressed in green gathered to form a giant human shamrock.

The formation was organized by Visit Dublin as a community celebration. While it was not submitted for official Guinness verification, it included over 1,000 participants. According to CBS, an unofficial record was set in 2019 with 1,200 people in Elmira, New York. 

Currently, the Guinness World Record for the World’s Largest Human Shamrock is held by Dublin, Ireland, with 815 participants in 2013. One thing is for certain: Dublin, Ohio celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in a big way.
