Short North bookshop moving to new location via “human chain”

Prologue Bookshop is relocating…but they aren’t going far. Currently located at 841 N. High St. in the Short North, the shop will relocate to 787 N. High St. next week. To complete the move, Prologue has invited the community to be part of a “human chain” to transfer the final books from the former location.

They announced the plan via Instagram. The post said “Help us move the last books from 841 to 787 by participating in our human book chain at 5 pm! We’re requesting RSVPs so we can send you details. Join us afterwards from 6-9 pm for a reception in the new space! Be the first to see our expanded sections, our second floor, and cozy reading nooks. Refreshments and snacks provided.” 

Owner and founder Dan Brewster said via Instagram that the new space will be double the size of the current location. The selection in the new store will be expanding, with more room for events and a wider array of books. The post said “Almost every section will be expanding in the new store. Poetry, essays, fantasy, horror, and Spanish language titles will all be getting a bigger boost. We will also be growing our selection of art, design, photography, film, and music books—and giving them more space to be showed off!” Following the grand opening on April 9, the store will be back to normal operating hours beginning on April 10.
