Short North tattoo shop has closed

A tattoo shop in the Short North has shuttered.

According to a social media post from Riot Ink owner Nathan Varney, the Columbus tattoo parlor has closed its Short North storefront, which was located at 1201 N. High St.

“After a lot of thought, I’ve made the very difficult decision to close our Short North location. We’re incredibly thankful for everyone who walked through those doors and supported us there,” the post reads.

It’s unclear why the Short North location was closed.

Fans of the concept can still patronize Riot Ink at its Powell shop, which is located at 8761 Smoky Row Rd. All previous Riot Ink appointments, gift cards and credits will still be honored at this location.

“Thank you for the love, support. We’re excited for what’s next and can’t wait to keep creating art with you,” Varney’s post reads.
