Smirnoff Ice breaks record for ‘largest hot dog display’ in Ohio

Smirnoff Ice is keeping America’s 250th Birthday Party going in its most authentic way possible: Red, White, & Berry, hot dogs, and making record-breaking history.

On August 1, as part of the brand’s “Be A Part-y of History” campaign, Smirnoff hosted a larger-than-life party at the iconic summer destination and local favorite, Put-in-Bay. Hundreds of fans gathered at the Roundhouse Bar to watch Smirnoff add its name to the Guinness World Records books.

Along with guests, the record was made possible in part by WWE star and Ohio native Mike “The Miz.” By placing hundreds of uniquely topped hot dogs into the shape of a gigantic Smirnoff Ice Red, White & Berry bottle, Smirnoff rightfully earned the Guinness title for Largest Display of Hot Dogs. The display covered over 1,000 square feet of real estate and used more than 250 hot dogs.

The milestone commemorates the pairing of an iconic American classic and a party favorite, and following the successful attempt, attendees celebrated with Smirnoff Ice samples, complimentary hot dogs, and giveaways. Smirnoff is also celebrating the American food staple by selling a summer essential Doggie Bag—a limited-edition Smirnoff Ice holder crossbody bag shaped like a hot dog.
